Global outreach through 86k hotels

The Loved By Guests campaign is an award system based on the top performing properties in Expedia Group’s inventory as voted by the guests. Globally hotels scoring between 8 and 10 receive a package containing a framed certificate, window sticker and access to code for a virtual sticker on their own site as well as promotional graphics within the Expedia online platform. Annually more than 86,000 properties are rated above 7.9 by Expedia Group’s guests and each received tailored promotional marketing material for display in the hotel foyer and the property’s Twitter account.

OPPORTUNITY

This was the perfect chance to the get the Hotels.com brand in front of millions of travellers across the world while at the same time promoting proprietors for their excellent service.

RESULTS

Hoteliers displayed the awards proudly in foyers and via social media as each was driven by the genuine positive experiences of their customers. With 20 scores from 8.0 to 10 and another 20+ categories ranging from Family to Boutique, the number of awards delivered to accommodation businesses reached over 86 thousand annually. I designed and built an in-house tool that generated all the designs through adobe data-merge using an excel dataset and the various vector assets, the idea being that anyone using excel could easily create all the content ready for print and distribution worldwide.
