Racing into the record books to drive new business

With the importance of speed for Middle Eastern customers, a recently refreshed and improved Middle Eastern portal gave Hotels.com the opportunity for a one of a kind marketing campaign.

OPPORTUNITY

Partnering with British racing driver Tom Onslow-Cole and Guinness World Records we commissioned engineers to build a motorised bed based on a customised Ford Mustang GT with the appearance of a regular double bed, as required by the Guinness World Records rules.

RESULTS

Tom smashed the record for fastest bed at 83.8mph (135 km/h) and brought with him an influx of new consumers from the Middle East.
