Unleashing the power of PhotoshopΒ 

Photoshop tasks have sometimes been hidden behind smoke and mirrors with unnecessary costs associated, so I built and ran an in-house PS course with a view to help colleagues outside of the design team brief and manage external agencies supplying work to Expedia Group.

OPPORTUNITY

The quarterly, 8 week, 10 student course was built around a foundation of 9 tools and 4 panel menus to provide an inexperienced user all the necessary skills for a firm understanding of the possibilities in PS. An engaging task was set that lasted the 8 weeks and gave each student access to and practice of the 9 tools and 4 panel menus.

RESULTS

Step by step instructions were provided for each to follow in their own time and during the lesson while information was presented on each tool’s function and usage. Lessons were a mix of tool introduction and a workshop with hands-on guidance.Β  By the end of the course all the students were able to use and understand each of the tools and panel menus listed and many had reached a level of competency where they were already exploring the other capabilities of PS with ease.
